ios8-1Recently, Apple has unveiled one of the biggest releases since the launch of the app store, iOS 8. It provides Apple users with more iCloud storage for photos, improved keystroke entry, improved message content and many more updated features. iOS 8 will deliver a much simpler and faster user friendly experience. With the iCloud photo library, iOS 8 allows users to enjoy photos and videos more easily across devices. It also includes predictive typing for Apple’s “QuickType” keyboard.
In iOS 8 the iCloud and photos app will give you access to all of your photos and videos anywhere. Photos are more easy to find and are completely organized across any of your enabled devices. The Photos app can automatically edit any photo with inhaled smart editing tools.
Sending and receiving messages become more immersive with the ability to communicate with one swipe, and ‘tap to talk’ allows you to record your voice for sharing videos and photos within messages. You can also choose to share your current location in messaging.
iOS 8 also introduces Family Sharing, which makes it easier to share purchases, photos, etc, all in the same household. Family members can view each other’s iTunes, iBooks or app store purchases and parents can create Apple IDs for children, which includes ‘ask to buy,’ which requires parental permission for any purchases. Family Sharing automatically keeps everyone fully connected by creating an option for locating family members and their devices.

Additional features include:

•More complex design enhancements

•Quick access to contacts

•Ability to quickly switch back and forth between your inbox and drafts

The iOS 8 software and SDK are available now for iOS developer program members only at developer.apple.com, but iOS 8 will not be available to the public until the upcoming fall. It will be a free software update for any Apple device.

Which One Is Right For You? Mac or PC?

Windows or an Apple computer? It’s a discussion that invites flame wars with many people. Before we get into the differences between both of these wonderful machines, we need to first establish some definitions. Comparing Apple computers that run Mac OS X and computers running the Windows operating system, better know as Microsoft, Dell, etc.

Ever since the Apple computers, especially the MacBook Pro’s, sales have been increasing. Why is that? Is it the layout of the system, the design? The fancy perks Apple gives its users like photo booth, iMovie and easy access to iTunes? It could be for many young users.Keep in mind that Apple computers account for less than 5 percent of computers worldwide. It is the sales of the companies popular iPhones, iPods and iPads that provide a strong boost for Apple’s overall earnings. So overall, which one is better, Mac or PC?

Here are a few pointers on their differences:

Price:
To start off you have to compare the prices of both. Apple prices their computers very high, rarely under $1,000. Especially if you want to pay another $200+ on battery insurance. Many of Mac users, especially young college students say it is truly worth it though. The problem with comparing prices between Macs and PCs is that the value of a Mac or PC depends on the consumers personal needs. Depending on what you want to spend on a laptop or monitor is completely up to you.

Technical:
Believe it or not Macs and PCs have very similar internal parts (processors, RAM, hard drives, video cards) but the speed and capacity vary. Overall Macs will outperform low-end PCs because Apple typically boast more expensive and better quality parts. But many PC’s will preform just the same as Macs will for possibly a cheaper cost. Since Apple controls the hardware and software bundles, as well as model updates, every Mac operates smoothly without worry on lagging, and have stable and expected performance. With PCs, different OEMs and custom PCs might not have the suitable drivers released for every components in each OS version, which may cause lagging.

Virus Attacks:
Since Macs aren’t as popular as the hundreds of companies that run Windows, there are fewer malware written to target Macs. Most virus writers target Windows systems because it is the popular desktop choice. Although the threats of Macs getting virus’s are growing from software like Java.

5cAs we all know, Apple comes out with a new upgrade or device every few months. Most people can’t keep up with the constant advances. But, recently Apple launched it’s new iPhone 5, not too long ago. Since then it’s been restyled and perfected into the most high-tech smartphone up to date. There are two types, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C, but what’s that differences between the two? Understanding the differences in these two phones can be tricky, except the obvious difference, the new color choices of the phones. The iPhone 5C is rumored to be Apple’s “low-cost” iPhone choice for consumers.  Prices depend on how many GB you purchase. A 16GB is around $100 USD, and a 32GB is priced around $199 USD. The iPhone 5S is more expensive, ranging from $199-$399 USD when purchased with a two-year contract. The iPhone 5S also offers more storage options, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB being the largest storage capacity.
Most differences are in the phone’s hardware inside the phone. Both models are quite fast, but the iPhone 5S has a faster processor than the 5C. If you like colored phones, then the 5C is for you. The 5C uses a plastic body that comes in multiple bright color choices (blue, red, yellow, green, white), where as the 5S uses a metal body in only three colors (white, black, gold). The newest high-tech advance on the 5S is the built in fingerprint scanner on the home button on the front of the phone and the new camera features. The fingerprint ID scanner provides extra security rather than just entering a passcode to unlock your cellphone. The iPhone 5C still has two cameras, like the 5S, one on the front and one on the back. The user-facing camera on the 5C is a 1.2 megapixel camera with 720p HD video, while the back camera is a 8 megapixel camera and can take 1080p HD video recordings.

Whether you find yourself a colorful iPhone 5C user, or high-tech 5S smartphone user, both iPhone’s perform basically the same with differences in quality, how quickly information loads and different features. Overall, the iPhone 5S has been the most popular choice amongst consumers for the upcoming holiday season. Many users of the iPhone 5S report positive feedback about its performance.
